When you get a pebble in your shoe, you can't go on the way you had been. That tiny little rock demands that you deal with it. You were just chugging along, and everything was normal. Then God 'put a pebble in your shoe'; nothing too terrible, or maybe it was terrible. A situation in your life that interrupts your journey. You can't ignore that pebble. You start to wonder if there is more. Are you are living the life God had planned for you? Was this really the way it was supposed to be? A discontent starts to stir. You feel a restless curiosity. You are hungry. Or maybe you are desperate.
Earnestly Seeking
In Hebrews 11:6 we get the promise that God rewards those who earnestly seek Him. God keeps his promises. I was earnestly seeking the Lord just three years ago after I got that pebble in my shoe. Let me tell you, He showed up. He has changed me in a dramatic way. It's hard to describe the amazing peace, joy, and love that I have experienced. I have been a Christian since childhood but there is no end to the deeper places we can go in and with God.
You Are Not Alone
I have been on quite a journey over the last few years and this website is a product of what God has done in my life. I am fortunate to know many seasoned women and men of God who have walked ahead of and alongside me. I will be asking them to share their wisdom and inspiration in this space also. My vision is to create a resource for those of you whose shoes have been pebbled. If you want more of what God has available for you, come along with us as we find hope, healing, and freedom in Jesus.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6 NIV
